Just seeing the parliament proceedings live.
I so feel like mollycoddling them and planting a kiss on their cheeks. Don't they seem like unruly first standard kids? The way the honourable speaker has to repeat-- "Go back to your seats, behave, sit down, stop this noise, quiet..." O, I so remember my school...
Coming to think of it, many of our respectable members of parliament are illiterate and some have come straight from prison to cast life-saving votes.
The cash for vote allegations by BJP were a fascinating thrill but this failed to ruffle the UPA. SP leader Amar Singh though used many a words to show his displeasure.
The UPA won the trust vote a few seconds back with 275 votes...

Yup, typical first standard kids who have forgot that they represent much more than there childhood here and are wasting millions, every time they disrupt the class. :)
ReplyDeleteIt happens only in India!! Haha.. it's a big irony we still call them leaders! I used to wonder it takes you to have MBA to run a company, but to run a country what qualification is mandated? SSC? Or lesser?
ReplyDeleteYes, precocious kids, spoilt rotten.
ReplyDeleteso singh is still the kinng :)

ReplyDeleteJack, Soham, Rahul--- Yes, Singh is still the King! :) hope he gets a freeway to do things his way now and can mind the 'kids' a little better... Welcome to the blog, and do come again..
Sat glued to the TV for two days, I am glad we can watch them and know exactly how and who represents us in the Parliament...!
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief when the Congress won the trust vote:)
I am still surprised to find them getting so much support, despite BJP's gimmicks...I, of course, prefer them to all the others.
i like the picture a lot :p
ReplyDeletei didn't want them to win, but knew all along that they would anyways, sadly.
ReplyDeleteHey Gauri !
ReplyDeleteVisiting your blog after a long break. Good thing that I have many posts to read :-)
And yes, i think you must be a very tolerant person to have such lenient feelings towards these politicians ! I felt like locking up all of them in prison for making such a mocekry of our nation !
